Then we see the intersection of Broadway/ 6th Ave./ and West 34th Streets looking south toward Olgen Camera.

Then a quick shot in the same intersection of the building on the SW corner of the intersection with a reflection of the building across the way on Broadway.

Followed by a quick shot of this building on the NW corner of the intersection of Broadway and West 45th Street.

Then we go to Broadway and 34th Street where we see Macy’s Herald Square store, 141 West 34 Street.

Then we go to Times Square looking north from West 46 Street.

Next we see people hanging out on East 53rd Street near the intersection of Lexington Ave. The same area where we saw Crockett and Tubbs walking to the police station earlier.

Then we see Broadway headed south from West 51st Street by the Winter Garden Theater.

Then we go to 2nd Ave and East 19th Street. We see a guy walking a dog southbound on 2nd Avenue by the buy Rite which no longer exist. Then we see Capucine’s Restaurant which is still there, looking about the same.

Then an unknown location.

Jimmy is still looking for a buyer.

Then we see Crockett taking a turn. They are talking outside the School of Visual Arts which looks like an old fire station. The sign for Oly’s hair salon seen in the background and still in business is what helped me find this location. This was filmed outside 214 East 21st Street.

Tubbs takes a turn. Location unknown.

Crockett stays with the car. This was filmed at 337 2nd Ave., right near where Jimmy was talking to the guy on the bench.

Then we see them strike out in a club. Location unknown.

Possibly a set.

As they get rousted we can see the towers of the World Trade Center in the background.

Then we see the trio head to the Moondance Diner located at 80 6th Ave.

The Moondance Diner closed on 07/01/2007 and was sold. The front railcar part of the diner was placed on a flatbed truck and moved to LaBarge, Wyoming where it went back into service for a while but that business failed and the diner is up for sale again.

Then we go back to Delirious where the Revillas send two incompetents to kill Crockett and Tubbs.  Location unknown.

Then we see Crockett return to Margaret's place to get his little friend back. Location unknown.

Then we see Tubbs waiting across from the Gramercy House when Sacco comes out. He pays Valerie a visit.

Then we go back to Margaret’s.

Next we see Crockett and Tubbs driving over the Brooklyn Bridge toward Brooklyn. The Manhattan Bridge can be seen in the background.

Next we see Crockett and Tubbs following the drugs. It appears they are in Brooklyn looking back across the East River toward the south tip of the city and they are. It took me longer than it should have to identify the buildings in the background but once I did it was just a matter of doing some triangulations on Google Earth to back track to Crockett and Tubb’s  location.

They follow the diver when he comes out of the water. This location took some research and detective work to figure out. We first see them eastbound on Irving Street in Brooklyn. Irving street is all but gone today. They turn right on Columbia Street. The diver stops in front of 158 Columbia Street. This was the original Valley Candle MFG. Co. Inc.. This company was sold in 1979 and the new owners moved the company to Greenwich, CT. so the building was probably vacant for some years before Vice came along and blew it up. Next door at 160 was the Accardi Hardware and Industrial Supply store. After Vice blew up the building they moved across the street to their current location at 157. Their current phone number is still the same one that was on their sign in Miami Vice 25 years ago.

After removing the drugs, Crockett and Tubbs blow up the place.

Up Irving Street.

Light blue arrow is where Accardi Hardware is located today having moved across the street since 1985.

Yellow arrow points to distinct building front that helped me figure out the locations.

Then we go to the Revilla’s apartment. This was filmed in the Morgans Hotel penthouse located at 237 Madison Ave.

Here we see a great panning out shot from seeing their sky garden to seeing allot of the city. This was shot from the Empire State Building.

Then we see Crockett and Tubbs in their hotel room.  Location unknown.

Next they are at the famous roof top meet. This was filmed atop 101 Park Avenue. The Chrysler building is prominently seen in the background.

This building also appeared in the movie, The Secret To My Success as the Pemrose building. It appeared in Gremlins 2 as the Clamp Tower and in the movie Crazy People it was used as Dudley Moore’s office. It was also used as George Costanza’s office in Seinfeld.

We then see Valerie watch as Sacco meets with Margaret and another man. This was filmed at the SW corner of the intersection of Madison Ave. and W 56th St. This is the same intersection where we earlier saw C+T admire the woman in the pink skirt.

Then we see Crockett and Tubbs turn from westbound on White Street to southbound on West Broadway and stop in front of Garbo’s, #225.  They then walk into Jimmy’s place, 223 West Broadway.

Jimmy is dead, the hitters are still there and C+T are lucky to get out unharmed. Now  the chase is on. The interior scenes were not likely filmed at 223 W. Broadway. Filming location unknown.

Crockett heads north toward White Street and Tubbs runs south to Franklin Street where he turns left and heads east.

Hit men follow and we see Broadway in the background.

Tubbs makes a stand outside 118 Franklin Street and takes out two of the henchmen.

Under renovation

Earlier we saw C+T walk by this meeting spot.

Based on period Satellite pictures, it appears that the whole neighborhood west of Columbia Street was being torn down at the time of Vice filming The Prodigal Son. This is what likely made this location ideal for filming the explosion of the building.
